Statistics compiled by the statistics team at the 39th Buraydah Dates Festival confirmed that the number of vehicles arriving at the market over the past five days reached 4,976, carrying 515,175 cardboard boxes weighing 2,060 metric tons and 700 kilograms of various types of dates, comprising more than 45 varieties.
For his part, Dr. Mansour bin Saleh Al-Mushaiti, Executive Director of the 39th Buraydah Date Festival, stated that dates continue to flow into the market in large quantities, including the various varieties for which the city of Buraydah is famous, noting that date prices are moderate and affordable for everyone, and highlighting that farmers are eager to bring their crops to the “City of Dates” in Buraydah due to high supply and demand.
He confirmed that the festival features a range of events, programs, and awareness-raising, cultural, social, and recreational activities that appeal to all segments of society, praising the prominent role of the Al-Qassim Region Municipality in providing a range of support services—such as ensuring the quality of imported dates, combating fraud, and educating consumers—with the participation of a number of government and private entities.
