Sales by cement companies operating in Saudi Arabia fell by 3% in July 2018, to 3.39 million metric tons, compared to 3.49 million metric tons in the same month of 2017.

According to the monthly report issued by Yamama Cement Company, total cement production by these companies in July fell to 3.44 million metric tons, compared to 4.37 million metric tons in July 2017, a decline of 2%.

Cement inventories rose during July to approximately 1.2 million metric tons, compared to 1.1 million metric tons in July of last year, an increase of 9%.

Southern Cement Company achieved the highest sales among cement companies in July 2018, with sales of 497,000 metric tons, compared to 409,000 metric tons in July 2017, representing a 21.5% increase.

Al-Yamamah Cement Company ranked second, with sales of 402,000 metric tons last July, compared to 369,000 metric tons for the same month the previous year.

Northern Cement Company recorded the lowest sales last July, with 57,000 metric tons, compared to 81,000 metric tons in July 2017.

Sales by cement companies operating in Saudi Arabia rose by 0.3% in June 2018, reaching 2.09 million metric tons, compared to 2.08 million metric tons in the same month of 2017.
