The value of real estate transactions completed during the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah 1439 AH amounted to approximately 10.5 billion riyals, a decline of 51% compared to the same period last year, which totaled about 21.5 billion riyals. Compared to the month of Shawwal 1439 AH, real estate transactions recorded an increase of 35 %, equivalent to approximately 2.68 billion riyals, according to the Ministry of Justice.
The value of real estate transactions has declined by 15% since the beginning of 1439 AH, reaching 166.4 billion riyals, compared to the same period in 1438 AH. The decline in real estate transactions during the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah 1439 AH is attributed to decreases in both residential and commercial transactions by 42 % and 63 %, respectively.
Real estate transactions involving land parcels (residential and commercial) accounted for the largest share during the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah in the year 1439 AH, with a value of 8.9 billion riyals, accounting for approximately 85 % of the total value, followed by agricultural land transactions worth 899 million riyals.
As for the most active cities in terms of residential real estate transaction value during the month of Dhu al-Qa’dah, Riyadh ranked first with transactions totaling 1.96 billion riyals, a decrease of 52 % compared to the same month last year, followed by Jeddah with approximately 1 billion riyals, a decrease of 42%. With regard to commercial transactions, Riyadh was the most active city, with the value of transactions completed during Dhu al-Qi’dah reaching approximately 1.4 billion riyals.
