The number of real estate transactions in August reached 9,463, indicating an overall decline across 13 regions in the Kingdom by 61% compared to the same month last year, which saw 15,412 transactions.
Riyadh recorded the largest decline among the Kingdom’s regions, with 2,883 transactions, compared to 5,320 in the same month of 2017, The Eastern Province came in second with 1,603, while it recorded 2,362 last year, according to judicial sources.
Mecca was the third region in Saudi Arabia to see a decline in the number of residential real estate transactions in 2018, with sources indicating that the number of real estate transactions reached 1,374, while the Al-Qassim region recorded 914 and Asir 575 transactions.
