The Ministry of Housing has announced the ninth batch of the “Sakani” program for 2018, which includes 33,472 housing and financing options, bringing the total number of beneficiaries since the beginning of this year to more than 215,000 citizens, with approximately 85,000 options remaining to be offered during the rest of 2018, completing the “Sakani 2” program by adding 300 housing and financing options this year.
The ninth batch includes 74,700 mortgage loans, 63,222 free residential plots, and 2,584 ready-to-move-in housing units, 67,367 housing units under construction, and 8,000 purchases of ready-to-move-in units from the market. The total number of housing and financing options announced since the program’s launch in early 2017 has reached approximately 500,000.
During a press conference held today at the Saudi Press Agency’s media center, the ministry provided details on the housing options and their geographic distribution. The latest batch included 8,300 mortgage loans, 5,961 housing units under construction in partnership with real estate developers, and 11,211 free residential land plots, in addition to the announcement of 8,000 beneficiaries who purchased ready-to-move-in units from the market.
