Beneficiaries of the “Sakani” program—one of the Ministry of Housing’s initiatives—have reserved 1,172 residential villas in the “City of Roses” housing project, located in Taif Governorate and being implemented in partnership with the private sector, just three weeks after its launch. This represents approximately 27% of the project’s total residential units, which comprise 4,775 villas spread across an area of 6.2 million square meters.
In a press release, “Sakani” explained that reservation procedures for the second phase of residential units “under construction” in the “City of Roses” project, located within the urban area and on one of the most important main roads leading from Makkah, “Al-Sail Road.” The project includes detached residential villas of various sizes, centered around a commercial and recreational complex with a total area of approximately more than half a million square meters. The project also includes numerous sites designated for educational and healthcare facilities, as well as facilities for other government agencies, in addition to a number of mosques and prayer halls, It also includes sites designated for public gardens, parks, and playgrounds, and a portion of the project is set aside for green spaces to create a suitable residential environment.
The project features distinctive central commercial and entertainment districts stretching over 2,000 meters, including shops, cafes, restaurants, parks, clubs, swimming pools, and the “Al-Mashhad Al-Alam,” which features a lighthouse that will serve as a landmark for the city, adding to Saudi Arabia’s distinctive architectural landmarks.
