The Ministry of Housing has launched a project comprising 11,705 housing units in Jeddah Province, having signed two agreements with private-sector companies to implement the “Rawabi Al-Hijaz” project—which consists of 9,502 housing units built on land owned by the private sector— while the second project, “Jeddah Airport Housing,” which is being built on land owned by the Ministry, comprises 2,203 housing units. The housing units range from off-plan apartments under construction, with prices ranging from 342,000 to 681,000 riyals, and unit sizes up to 252 square meters.
During a press conference held to announce the tenth batch, the Ministry of Housing reaffirmed its commitment to fruitful cooperation with qualified real estate developers to help increase the supply of residential units and support the housing market, which ensures that companies compete to earn citizens’ satisfaction and meet their needs in a manner suited to the local market, while also guaranteeing the provision of ongoing maintenance services for the residential units.
This comes as an extension of previous agreements signed by the Ministry with a number of qualified developers to construct residential units in various regions of the Kingdom, with 60 projects launched to date, providing more than 90,000 diverse residential units, including villas, apartments, and townhouses, at prices ranging from 250,000 to 750,000 riyals.
The agreements were signed in the presence of His Excellency Minister of Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the CEO of the National Housing Company, Mohammed Saleh Al-Bati, and a number of officials from the Ministry of Housing and the Real Estate Development Fund.
