Ministry of Justice through the commercial courts and departments in the Kingdom completed about 11425 commercial cases during the current year 1441 H, and the Riyadh region topped the list with 5887 cases, followed by Makkah Al-Mukarramah with 4839 cases, Sharqiya with 2450 cases, and Medina with 717 cases. The commercial courts have strengthened the business environment by providing an economic climate of confidence, stability and preservation of rights, encouraging and incentivizing investment in the Kingdom, and supporting the economic development movement in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
A package of decisions taken by the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Judicial Council led to the speedy issuance of commercial judgments and maintaining their quality, including the decisions approved by the Minister of Justice to add an article to the executive regulations of the Sharia Procedures Law, setting the date of consideration of commercial cases not to exceed 20 days from the date of registration of the case, in addition to limiting the number of total sessions so that the consideration of commercial cases does not exceed 3 sessions.
