Minister of Justice directs courts to seek permission from the Supreme Court when requesting ownership of vacant land

Minister of Justice Walid bin Muhammad Al-Samaani instructed all courts to comply with the requirement to seek permission from the Prime Minister to hear cases regarding the termination of ownership claims on vacant land that has not previously been reclaimed. This was stipulated in a circular issued by Al-Samani to all courts, in which he emphasized the obligation to submit a request for permission to the Prime Minister through the Ministry of Justice using the standardized form, which must include the name of the applicant, their civil registry number, the applicant’s description, the type of property, the property’s location, and the property’s area,, and a statement confirming that the property is not covered by Royal Decree No. (788) dated 1/2/1429, along with the judicial circuit’s opinion on whether or not to hear the case, stating the reason.
