The President of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Engineer Osama Al-Afaleq, called on businessmen and investors to wait before making the decision to enter the Qatari market and study the situation closely, especially since the past three years have witnessed many developments and changes, which requires more analysis and examination of the proposed projects before making an investment decision, pointing out that the challenges facing the construction sector are many and numerous unlike some other sectors, which requires thorough study to learn about many details in foreign markets.

Al-Afaleq emphasized that national contracting companies have successful experiences in the Qatari market, such as the oil and gas sector, in addition to the presence of many investments by Saudi companies in the Qatari market, indicating that all global countries are still suffering from the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, which limits their ability to create and launch development projects.

Al-Afaleq stated that there is an intention to transform the contracting sector into an industry, and expressed his optimism to reach foreign markets, indicating that opening the Qatari market is a good step for the Saudi contracting sector.
