The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has issued a procedural guide for the six ministerial decisions to localize several professions including: Legal consultations and law firms, customs clearance, real estate activities, the cinema sector, driving schools, and technical and engineering professions.
Regarding the decision to localize real estate activities and professions, the procedural guide stipulated that up to 70% will be localized, in addition to 100% in the targeted professions, which include real estate brokerage, real estate marketing, owners" association, sustainable construction, and real estate arbitration.
According to the procedural guide, the localization of driving schools activity involves the creation of more than 8,000 jobs, as it targets 100% localization in the activity of driving schools.
The ministry added that the minimum wage for a driving instructor, educational specialist, traffic controller, and industrial vocational trainer will be 5,000 riyals, provided that the decision will be implemented on 26/5/1443 AH.
The ministry added that the decision includes providing more than 11 thousand jobs without mentioning the details of wages, to be applied as of 24/02/1443 AH.
About the decision to localize engineering technical professions, the procedural guide said that the percentage of localization in this sector will be 25%, while the number of job opportunities is estimated at more than 12 thousand jobs with a minimum wage of 5 thousand riyals.
The ministry explained that applicants for the jobs must obtain professional accreditation from the Saudi Commission for Engineers, and the decision applies to all private sector establishments that employ 5 or more workers in the targeted professions, and the decision will be applied as of 5/26/1444 AH.
Regarding the decision to localize legal consultations and law firms, the procedural guide stipulated that the decision will be applied in two phases: The first phase will start on 5/26/1443 AH and aims to localize 50% of jobs, while the second phase will start on 5/26/1444 AH and aims to raise the localization rate to 70%.
The ministry added that the targeted jobs include: General Systems Legal Advisor, Special Systems Legal Advisor, Contract Specialist, Legal Affairs Clerk, as well as career opportunities for trainee lawyers.
She pointed out that the sector includes providing more than 5 thousand job opportunities, with a minimum wage of 5500 riyals.
About the decision to localize jobs related to the cinema sector, the procedural guide explained that the localization will be 100 percent % in cinema activities and cinemas and all affiliated activities in the targeted occupations.
Targeted occupations include supervisory occupations, retail sales, ticket sales, and food and beverage sales.
Added that the sector includes providing more than 3 thousand job opportunities, provided that the implementation of the decision will start on 2/24/1443 AH.
The ministry said that the decision to localize the customs clearance activity and professions targets 70% of the total number of workers in establishments operating in the sector, in addition to 100% in the targeted professions, which include: General Manager, Government Relations Officer, Translator, Customs Clearance Clerk, Customs Biller, and Customs Clearance Broker.
It indicated that the minimum wage for the positions of customs broker and customs abstract will be 5 thousand riyals, provided that the application of this decision will start as of 26/5/1443 AH.
