The Developmental Housing Program signed a tripartite agreement with Alwaleed Philanthropy Foundation and the Community Development Housing Foundation “Sakan”, with the aim of providing 10 thousand housing units with a total value of more than two billion riyals, dedicated to the neediest families to enable them to own a home, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alwaleed Philanthropy Foundation, HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, HE Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Alwaleed Philanthropy Foundation.
The agreement was signed today at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh by HE Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Badir, Board Member of the National Housing Corporation “Sakan” Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al Ghaiheb, and Secretary General of the Alwaleed Philanthropies Foundation HRH Princess Lamia bint Majid.
The size of the agreement, which is the largest in the development housing sector, exceeds two billion riyals, while it comes as an extension of several previous agreements concluded with NGOs and donor institutions, bringing the total number of units that will provide families with 38 thousand housing units serving more than 200 thousand individuals with a contribution from the third sector exceeding 9 billion riyals.

Under the agreement, which includes the housing and development tracks, Alwaleed Philanthropies will provide financial contributions to enable 10,000 families from the most needy category to own their own home according to the support controls approved by the “Good Housing” platform, in addition to providing 10,000 cars, in a triangular cooperation between the parties to the agreement that extends for 5 years, with support covering all regions of the Kingdom.<In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alwaleed Philanthropies, HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, praised the agreement and said: “We are proud of the sustainable strategic partnership that serves the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through the housing program and raising the contribution of the non-profit sector to the GDP, and we will work with our partners at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and the Community Development Housing Foundation to implement this agreement and achieve our aspirations and those of the leadership to achieve concrete results.”
