Applications for building permits begin for second phase in southern AlUla

The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has begun accepting applications for building permits for the second phase of the sustainable urban development plan in the south of the governorate, as part of its efforts to develop AlUla and enhance the quality of life for its residents.
This step comes in line with RCU's commitment to develop and prepare the urban environment through a system of programs and initiatives, to achieve human development before place as a key methodology for sustainable development, while promoting this vision by providing architectural models and designs inspired by traditional Arabic architecture in AlUla.<The expansion of the urban development area is about one million square meters, including green spaces, sports fields, parks and gardens, which will contribute to the formation of a distinct urban level by linking these elements with the natural environment and heritage in AlUla Governorate.In its vision, the Authority focuses on the people and residents of AlUla as the basis for development and highlighting AlUla as a global tourist destination for heritage, culture and the arts, sustainably preserving the integrated urban landscape, with elements consistent with the environment.

The South AlUla Urban Development Plan features an innovative infrastructure, which the Royal Commission aims to create an ideal destination for living and working, providing all life requirements in a model neighborhood characterized by its urban development and integrated services.
This step comes with the launch of the “AlUla Studio” announced by the Royal Commission for AlUla in Shawwal of last year 1441 AH corresponding to June 2020 AD, which provides a range of new community services that will play a key role in the urban development plan, providing architectural design models that allow residents to choose the most appropriate ones to build their properties in line with the history and heritage of AlUla and highlight it at a unique aesthetic level.
