The “Sakani” program handed over a number of ready-to-move-in villas as part of the “Al-Ahsa Housing” project in June 2021, as part of ongoing efforts to provide diverse housing options and financing solutions to meet the housing needs of Saudi families. The handover procedures were completed after the beneficiaries finalized their reservations and signed the final contracts.
The program explained in a press release today that the Al-Ahsa Housing Project in the Eastern Province, which saw the handover, comprises 500 residential villas and is located on an area exceeding 470,660 square meters on the southern side of Al-Hofuf city and east of Al-Ahsa Airport, north of Imam Saud University. The project site is 14 km from Al-Mubarraz city and about 20 km from Al-Ahsa Airport, and is being built using high-quality construction materials in a variety of designs and sizes.
The Ministry’s ready-to-move-in housing projects are distributed across a number of cities and provinces in the Kingdom, with a total of 42 projects providing approximately 14,000 residential units of the “villas,” with an area of up to 500 m² per villa. These projects feature comprehensive infrastructure, green spaces, and public parks, as well as designated areas for educational, health, and other facilities. The Ministry’s projects and details of the housing units can be viewed via the link https://sakani.housing.sa/projects-map.
It is worth noting that the housing program has served 100,449 families from the beginning of 2021 through the end of May, of which 78,349 families have moved into their homes, through the diverse housing and financing options provided by the program, which include residential land and the option to obtain a subsidized mortgage to purchase ready-to-move-in or under-construction housing units, in addition to the self-build option, This continues the program’s efforts to enable Saudi families to own their first home, with the goal of increasing the homeownership rate among Saudi families to 70% by 2030, in line with the targets of the Housing Program—one of the programs under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
