The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has stated that it has recently observed advertisements by certain companies, real estate agencies, and individuals offering for sale subdivision plans prepared for agricultural land, without the Ministry’s approval or the approval of the subdivision plans by the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing.
The Undersecretary for Land and Surveying, Engineer Saleh Al-Lahidan, emphasized that this action constitutes a violation of the regulations governing subdivision as approved by Cabinet Decision No. (119) dated 19/4/1437 AH, as well as the regulations and mechanisms prepared in coordination between the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing.
Al-Lahidan urged real estate companies, agencies, and individuals to refrain from selling any plots on agricultural land without the Ministry’s approval, and he called for subdivision plans to be approved by the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing.
