The Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (TAQEEM) held its 2021 General Assembly meeting yesterday via video conference — attended by 854 of the General Assembly’s 1,654 members. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Mr. Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Fareeh, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Steering Committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the attendees and members of the General Assembly, thanking them for their attendance, dedication, and engagement, and expressing his gratitude to the Authority’s Secretariat for its efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, and its ability to reprioritize and continue achieving objectives through its efforts.
Al-Fareeh nominated the Authority’s Acting Secretary-General, Engineer Faisal Al-Mandeel, as Secretary of the General Assembly meeting, and the vote-counting committee, chaired by the Executive Director of Legal Affairs and Professional Oversight, Abdulaziz Al-Mutlaq, with the Executive Director of Planning and Business Development, Engineer Hamad Al-Harqan, as a member.
During the meeting, the most notable comments and inquiries regarding the General Assembly agenda items were reviewed and addressed, and the results of the voting on the main agenda items were reviewed. These items included the approval of the Board of Directors“ annual report on the Authority’s activities for the year 2020, approval of the Authority’s final accounts for the fiscal year 2020, and the appointment of the external auditor and determination of their fees.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Vote Counting Committee announced the results of the General Assembly vote, which concerned: Approval of the Board of Directors” annual report on the Authority’s activities for the year 2020, approval of the Authority’s final accounts for the fiscal year 2020, and the appointment of certified public accountants to audit the Authority’s accounts for the year 2021.
