The Council of Ministers, chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, approved the judicial costs system and the execution system before the Board of Grievances.
At the beginning of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Council on the content of meetings and talks that took place between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and several brotherly and friendly countries during the past days, aimed at consolidating bilateral and multilateral cooperation to further enhance and strengthen relations at all levels.<In this regard, the Council discussed the agreement signed by the Kingdom with Russia for cooperation in the military field in an effort to develop bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in support of international peace and stability, as well as the signing of the protocol amending the minutes of the establishment of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council, which is a comprehensive framework to push their partnership to broader horizons in accordance with (Vision 2030) and (Vision 2030), in order to meet the aspirations of the two leaderships and achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers and Acting Minister of Information Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed said that the Cabinet addressed the Kingdom's participation in the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, which emphasized the commitment to support the stability and development of Iraq and stand by it towards a bright and promising future, commensurate with its Arab, regional and international status, and continue cooperation and coordination with countries in the region to confront the threat of extremism and terrorism that threatens the world, as well as reject foreign intervention activities in some Arab countries.
The Council reviewed a number of issues on recent developments in the region.The Cabinet considered the two attempts by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia to attack Abha International Airport in a systematic and deliberate manner, one of which resulted in injuries and damage to a civilian aircraft, as a continuation of hostile acts and a war crime targeting passengers of various nationalities and airport personnel, stressing that measures should be taken to ensure the protection of civilian objects and civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
The Council expressed the Kingdom's strong condemnation of the terrorist attack that targeted Hamid Karzai International Airport in the Afghan capital Kabul, and emphasized the<The Council concluded the following:
First:
Authorizing the Minister of Interior - or his deputy - to discuss with the Sri Lankan side regarding the draft extradition agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of Sri Lanka, sign it, and then submit the final signed copy to complete the formalities.
Second:
Approving a memorandum of understanding regarding the establishment of the Saudi-Omani Coordination Council.
Third:
Approving the agreement to establish the Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council.
Fourth:
Authorizing the Minister of Foreign Affairs - or his deputy - to discuss with the Estonian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, sign it, and then submit the final signed copy to complete the formal procedures.
Fifth:
Authorizing the President of King Saud University - or his deputy - to discuss with the British side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation between King Saud University in Saudi Arabia and the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, sign it, and then submit the final signed copy to complete the formal procedures.
Sixth:
Authorize the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority - or his deputy - to discuss with the Bahraini side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Information and Electronic Government Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain regarding the activation of the (Health Passport) to verify the compliance of travelers through King Fahd Causeway, citizens or residents of either of them, with the health requirements of the Corona virus (COVID-19), sign it, then submit the final signed copy, to complete the formal procedures.
VII:
Approve a draft memorandum of understanding between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of Britain and Northern Ireland in the field of combating extremism, terrorism and its financing, and authorize the head of state security - or his deputy - to discuss with the British side in this regard, and sign it.
VIII:
Approval of the judicial costs system.
IX:
Amending the Precious Metals and Precious Stones Law, issued by Royal Decree No. (M/42) dated 10/7/1403 AH, by deleting the word ”trade” from Articles (II) and (XV) of the Law.
X:
Abolishing the National Biodiversity Committee issued by Cabinet Decision No. (245) dated 17/8/1429 AH.
XI:
Amending the organization of the Public Authority for Real Estate - issued by Cabinet Decision No. (239) dated 25/4/1438 AH - as stated in the decision.
XII:
Approving the amendment of the Unified Customs Law of the Gulf Cooperation Council, approved by Royal Decree No. (M/41) dated 3/11/1423 AH, as contained in the resolution.
Thirteenth:
The creation of (137) assistant professor positions and (272) lecturer positions, within the budget of Jazan University for the next fiscal year (1443/1444 AH), according to the approved ceilings.
Fourteenth:
Approval of the execution system before the Board of Grievances.
Fifteenth:
Approval of two promotions to the fourteenth rank, as follows:
Promotion of Shuaa bin Ahmed bin Ali Al-Raqa to the post of (Director General of the Information Technology Department) at the fourteenth rank of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.The Cabinet also reviewed a number of general topics on its agenda, including the annual reports of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Asir Region Development Authority, King Khalid Specialized Eye Hospital, Radio and Television Authority, and Human Resources Development Fund, and took the necessary action on these topics.
