The Council of Ministers held its session today - via video link - under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, may God protect him.

At the beginning of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed thanks to the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries for their sincere feelings and good wishes for the Kingdom on the occasion of its 91st National Day, wishing them good health and happiness and the governments and peoples of their countries continued progress and prosperity.

The Cabinet was briefed on the talks and meetings held with a number of countries during the week to develop relations and push the fields of bilateral and multilateral cooperation to broader horizons, reflecting the Kingdom's constant keenness to interact constructively with the international community in laying the foundations of security and peace, and seeking to achieve what is good for humanity.

In this context, the Council emphasized the contents of the Kingdom's speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques - may God protect him - before the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which included visions on current issues and challenges at the global level, and contents that embodied the centrality and leadership of its humanitarian, developmental and economic role at the regional and international levels, and the paramount importance of its foreign policy to consolidate security and stability, support dialogue and peaceful solutions, provide conditions that support development and fulfill the aspirations of peoples towards a better tomorrow in the Middle East region and the whole world.<The Council of Ministers reviewed a number of reports on the course of events and developments in various arenas, stressing that the Kingdom reserves its legitimate right to defend itself in the face of ballistic missile attacks, drones and booby-trapped boats launched by the Houthi terrorist militia on a daily basis on civilian objects, threatening international navigation and global energy supplies.

The Council reiterated the Kingdom's solidarity with the sisterly Republic of Sudan in all that Authorizing His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank - or his deputy - to discuss the draft statute of the Union of Arab Authorities for Supervision and Control of Insurance Businesses, sign it, and then submit the final signed copy to complete the formalities.

Third: Approving the license for the National Bank of Egypt to open a branch in the Kingdom, and authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Finance to decide on any subsequent request to open other branches of the bank in the Kingdom.

Fourth: Approving the organization of the Digital Content Council and authorizing the Minister of Finance to decide on any subsequent request to open other branches of the bank in the Kingdom.

Fourth: Approving the organization of the Digital Content Council and abolishing the National Committee for the Regulation of Ethical Content for Information Technology, which was issued by Cabinet Decision No. (51) dated 6/2/1435 AH.

Fifth: Approving the final account of the Agricultural Development Fund for the previous fiscal year.

Sixth: Approving two promotions for the fifteenth and fourteenth ranks, as follows: Promoting Hassan bin Mohammed bin Abdo Al-Harbi to the post of (Financial Advisor) at the fifteenth rank in the Ministry of Finance. Promoting Mansour bin Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Saud to the post of (Director General of the General Department of Audit of Institutions and Companies) at the fourteenth rank in the General Bureau of Accountancy. The Cabinet also reviewed a number of public issues on its agenda and took the necessary action on those issues.
