The General Authority for Transportation confirmed that, in coordination with the relevant authorities, licensed companies have been permitted to utilize full seating capacity on intercity trains and buses, as well as on ferries between Jazan and Farsan.
The Authority clarified that this decision is contingent upon passengers having received two doses of vaccines approved by the Ministry of Health, with the exception of those exempt from vaccination as indicated in the “Tawakkalna” app, or those with medical exemptions as determined by the competent authorities in the Kingdom.
The Authority emphasized the importance of licensed companies adhering to all preventive measures for the use of public transportation, verifying passengers’ health status via the Tawakkalna app, and ensuring that face masks are worn throughout the entire journey, sanitizing hands, and following other protocols approved by the relevant authorities and published on the Public Health Authority (Weqaya) website.
