The National Cement Industry Committee of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce affirmed its commitment to reducing costs in the cement industry, promoting quality, and minimizing risks, noting that its strategic vision aims to achieve national economic development, and to serve the Kingdom’s interests locally, regionally, and globally, It highlighted the importance of exchanging views and expertise on matters related to the cement industry and technology, quality, the environment, energy, performance improvement, and human resources development programs, through coordination with relevant government agencies and the regulations governing the industry.

The committee aims to enhance the competitiveness of the cement industry, facilitate technology transfer, and establish effective partnerships with universities and technology suppliers in this sector, in addition to supporting quality and productivity, reducing costs for the national industry, monitoring the industry’s energy efficiency, and supporting the development of alternative energy technologies and production processes, and subsequently working to develop standard specifications in cooperation with the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.

It emphasized the development of local expertise and continuing education facilities in the cement industry through industry-specific training using relevant equipment, The committee is also working to position the National Committee of Cement Companies as a repository of information related to the cement industry, as well as economic, technical, and statistical insights.

The committee’s policies aim to review and develop information related to the industry into a long-term strategy to mitigate potential risks and help translate these policies into public policy, in addition to formulating the necessary strategies to finance the activities of the National Cement Committee. It emphasized the need to operate according to a clear policy to promote the importance of the industry and cement products, in addition to its social role in making charitable contributions that support civic engagement based on solidarity and the protection of citizens’ interests.
