The Sakani program has issued 558,367 certificates to bear the real estate transaction tax for the first home since the beginning of the program until September 2021, according to the monthly report of the “Sakani” program, which reviews the developments of the housing sector in terms of the number of Saudi families benefiting from the program, updates of projects being implemented in partnership with the private sector, and the electronic services provided by the “Sakani” website and application.
The report showed the growth in the number of Saudi families benefiting from the housing options and financing solutions provided by “Sakani” during the current year 2021, bringing the number of families benefiting from the program until the end of September to 160,304 families between benefiting from the subsidized mortgage loan to buy ready-made housing units under construction or self-construction for those who own land and benefit from the lands of “Sakani” plans, of which 132,285 families have settled in their homes, and the full report can be viewed at https://sakani.housing.sa/sakani-reports.
The “Sakani” report included details of construction updates in the projects under construction that began implementation in partnership with private sector real estate developers in all regions and cities of the Kingdom, which numbered 82 projects within 106 projects that provide more than 146 thousand housing units ranging from apartments, villas and townhouses at an average price of 700 thousand riyals within an integrated residential environment and quality in construction, with the aim of enhancing the quality of life of Saudi families and increasing the percentage of residential ownership to 70% by 2030 according to the targets of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
The report also reviewed the updates of the residential plans hosted by the cities and governorates of the Kingdom, which reached 223 residential plans that provide 180,000 residential land, while the report showed the total number of real estate transaction tax certificates for the first home since the beginning of the program until the end of September amounted to 558,367 certificates.The report highlighted the electronic services provided by the “Sakani” application and website around the clock, starting from registration and immediate eligibility, reviewing the various housing and financing options in partnership with 18 financing entities, immediate reservation of units and lands, issuing quotes, issuing land contracts electronically, benefiting from the real estate consultant service, learning about the options of the “real estate market” service, choosing typical designs for self-builders and issuing building permits electronically, electronic waiver of housing support between spouses, and other services.
