Yesterday marked the launch of the digital link between the Real Estate Developers Services Center “Etmam” and Saudi Aramco, in collaboration with the Digital Government Authority. Additionally, “Aramco” received a certificate of sustainable design accreditation for the King Salman Energy City “SPARK” with a Gold Sustainable rating in the first phase, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Energy, and Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing.
Unlimited support for the energy and municipal sectors
In his speech, His Royal Highness the Minister of Energy explained that all government sectors, including the “energy,” ”municipal,” and ”housing,” enjoy unlimited support from the leadership, which has had a significant impact on unifying efforts to achieve the development goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. He expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God support him, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, may God protect him.
Increased Real Estate Investment
His Highness stated that today’s transition of joint operations between the Ministry of Energy and the “Etmam” program to an electronic format represents a true empowerment of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by activating partnerships among government agencies, noting that this step will enhance transparency and protect the rights of all parties by facilitating and accelerating the submission of transactions and requests by real estate developers through the “Etmam platform, increasing real estate investment through the development of raw and undeveloped land, and standardizing operations in partnership with all relevant entities.
His Highness noted that the awarding of the first Gold Sustainable Rating certificate to King Salman Energy Park "SPARK“ is a result of its commitment to sustainability standards and environmentally friendly regulations in energy, water, transportation, and waste management in its design to enhance construction sustainability in all aspects, making it an integrated global hub in the field of energy and its industries, and the technical and logistical support and services it requires.
Fruitful Cooperation Between the Two Ministries
In turn, the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, noted that the activation of the electronic link between the Real Estate Developers Services Center "Etmam“ and Saudi Aramco, and King Salman Energy City’s ”SPARK“ receiving the Kingdom’s first ”Sustainable Gold with Distinction" rating in the communities category from the Ministry’s Sustainable Construction Program comes within the framework of effective cooperation between the two ministries to achieve numerous positive outcomes toward realizing the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Investment in the development of raw land
His Excellency also noted that the electronic linkage project between Aramco and the ”Etmam“ program achieves several objectives, the most important of which are facilitating and accelerating the submission and tracking of transactions and requests from real estate developers, increasing transparency in the sector, and promoting investment in the development of raw and undeveloped land. Furthermore, the electronic link with ”Aramco" aims to streamline business operations and procedures and increase investments in the real estate sector.
It is worth noting that the standards and requirements adopted by ”Sustainable Building“ in evaluating community designs are based on a number of characteristics such as location, community connectivity, management, operations, water, quality of community life, education, innovation, and energy. and ”SPARK“ scored 65 points after the program team completed its review of the engineering designs, qualifying it for the ”Gold” level with distinction according to a number of criteria and requirements based on international specifications and standards.
