The Ministries of Justice and Commerce have agreed to provide sample forms for commercial contracts that include provisions establishing recourse to alternative dispute resolution methods such as conciliation and arbitration and other methods. The two ministries have also ensured the development of training programs on modern commercial legislation and the organization of workshops for judges, their staff, attorneys, and legal advisors at commercial enterprises.
This came during bilateral talks between Minister of Justice Dr. Walid Al-Samaani and Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi to activate alternative dispute resolution methods in commercial cases, protect consumers, and enhance digital integration between the two ministries. They also discussed providing simplified procedures and mechanisms for resolving minor consumer disputes.
