The Ministry of Justice has revealed an increase in the number of transactions electronic real estate transfer transactions to 44,000 real estate deals worth 5.2 billion riyals during the past year, 2021, emphasizing the importance of verifying the payment of real estate transaction tax electronically to ensure the success of the automated transfer process.
According to a guide issued by the Ministry on the electronic real estate transfer service, the Ministry has set five conditions for sellers wishing to complete a real estate transfer electronically. These include being the sole owner of the title deed, be at least 18 years old, be a Saudi national, have an active account at one of the banks participating in the service, and have an active account in the Absher system.
