The Royal Decree establishing Foundation Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, corresponding to February 22 of each year, reaffirms the commitment of His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his trusted Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman—may God protect them both—to highlighting the deep historical roots of the blessed Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , whose first foundation stone was laid by Imam Muhammad bin Saud, may God have mercy on him.

Year after year and generation after generation, this anniversary will pass us by—an anniversary that illuminated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and, by the grace of God Almighty, became a beacon and a source of security for all its residents and visitors. God has blessed the Kingdom since the very moment of its founding, and security and safety prevailed at that time in the region of and its surroundings, and the safety of pilgrims and Muslims—their property, their lives, and their faith—has been secured from that day until the present, by the grace of God.

We live in and witness the success of this blessed nation, with its ancient history deeply rooted in this blessed land and its beautiful legacy throughout the years. We have witnessed eras of continuous progress and development on all fronts—both domestic and international—led by the sons and daughters of this generous nation, guided byof their young and ambitious leadership, which seeks to achieve “Vision 2030” in various spheres of life by harnessing the latest advancements in technology and management. We have begun to see the fruits of these efforts, which have led to significant and comprehensive growth—economically, developmentally, and in human terms—placing the Kingdom in a leading position among the world’s major nations. May God preserve for us our rulers and, for this homeland is dear to our hearts and to the hearts of all Muslims.
