The Holy Capital Secretariat, represented by the Al-Aziziyah Sub-Municipality, encroachments in the Al-Husseinia area of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, consisting of earthen mounds and concrete structures covering an area of 21,800 square meters. Municipal machinery, supported by security forces, has begun removal and demolition work.
The Municipalities Agency clarified that the Municipality is working to combat encroachments on government land under the supervision of the Mayor of the Holy City, Engineer Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Qweihs, through specialized committees tasked with monitoring, tracking, and immediately removing such encroachments.
Sub-municipalities and affiliated municipalities are also intensifying monitoring of sites where encroachments have occurred to prevent their recurrence, monitoring unauthorized land-use plans, preventing their marketing or circulation, and enforcing strict measures against violators, while warning citizens against purchasing land in unauthorized, non-compliant development plans.
