The Ministry of Justice reported that the number of electronic real estate discharge transactions has risen to 66,000 since the service was launched in March 2020. It explained that the transactions are processed through the (Najaz) portal via the (Electronic Real Estate Transfer) service. It noted that the service is available through 17 local and foreign banks in cooperation with the Saudi Central Bank.
It reported that real estate conveyance is available electronically around the clock via “Najiz” through simple, user-friendly steps that allow the seller and buyer to complete the transfer procedures and agree on the details of the sale automatically—without the need for approval from a notary or public notary—in less than 60 minutes.
It also enables verification of bank account ownership, in addition to verification of payment of real estate transaction tax. It reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to enhance technology, provide the best innovative digital solutions for users, and streamline procedures for them as it works on a series of development initiatives and reforms that have improved the efficiency of notarization and real estate security.
