The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing revealed more than 55 thousand during the first quarter of 2022, as part of efforts to increase the percentage of home ownership for Saudi families to 70% by 2030 through easy electronic procedures, in accordance with the objectives of the Housing Program - one of the programs of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing revealed that more than 55,000 families have lived in their homes during the first quarter of this year 2022, as part of efforts to increase home ownership for Saudi families to 70% by 2030.

The ministry said in a press release that the number of Saudi families benefiting from the housing program during the past quarter exceeded 46 thousand families, and the ministry indicated that about 48 thousand real estate transaction certificates for the first home were issued through the website and application of “Sakani”, bringing the total to more than 654 thousand certificates, and the “Sakani” platform facilitated the issuance of electronic contracts for more than 10 thousand residential land, an increase of 219% compared to the previous quarter “Sakani” signed more than 1600 contracts for in-kind support, which was launched during the last quarter on the “Sakani” platform by taking advantage of the subsidized mortgage loan to buy housing units in off-plan sales projects, within the various housing options and services provided by the program to its beneficiaries from Saudi families, and the engineering design in accordance with Wadi Hanifa code has recently been added to the "Sakani" platform.
