The Committee announced Jeddah Slums Committee has announced the start of disbursement of the first installment of compensation for demolished properties, totaling one billion riyals, and compensation for the remaining citizens will be disbursed sequentially in several phases, according to a schedule following the completion of property inventory and appraisal, and after citizens have completed the procedures and submitted the required documents.

The committee explained that the valuation was based on technical criteria specific to each neighborhood, with the value of the land assessed separately from the value of the rubble, and those who do not possess a land title deed will be compensated only for the rubble. The valuation of real estate was based on the area, location, and use of the land, while the valuation of the building was based on the type and area of the structure. The committee confirmed that compensation payments to the remaining citizens will be disbursed sequentially in several phases, according to a schedule to be determined after the completion of property inventory and appraisal, and after citizens have completed the necessary procedures and submitted the required documents.
