The Housing Program confirmed that 27,000 families chose the subsidized mortgage loan to purchase ready-to-move-in housing units, out of 66,000 Saudi families who benefited from the “Sakani” program from the beginning of 2022 through the end of May, from among all the housing options and financing solutions the program offers electronically to its beneficiaries through simple and accessible procedures.

The program noted that 14,000 families opted for the self-build option, while 12,000 families chose to utilize residential land within “Sakani” developments, and 7,000 families chose to take advantage of the subsidized mortgage loan to purchase housing units under construction.

According to the report issued by “Sakani” last month, the number of families who moved into their homes reached 79,600, as part of efforts to achieve the housing program’s targets to raise the homeownership rate among Saudi families to 70 % by 2030.
