The Ministry of Commerce all citizens, business owners, and institutions against fraud and scams, and against dealing with fake websites and impostors posing as the Ministry to obtain banking information for fraudulent purposes, emphasizing that it never asks consumers for account numbers, bank card numbers, passwords, or verification codes.
In a statement posted on its Twitter account, the Ministry emphasized that it does not accept any reports via links or websites, noting that the Ministry’s only official reporting channels are: the 1900 hotline and the "Balgh Tijari" app.
