The Ministry of Tourism has announced new amendments to the regulations Tourist Visa Regulations; the amended regulations grant an exemption to holders of valid tourist or business visas from the United States, the United Kingdom, or any of the Schengen Agreement countries.
The Ministry clarified that the visa must be used at least once to enter the country that issued the visa, and this includes first-degree relatives of the visa holder traveling with him or her, as well as holders of permanent residency in the United States, the European Union, or the United Kingdom—including first-degree relatives of the residency holder traveling with them—upon arrival at any of the Kingdom’s land, sea, or air ports of entry. Under the regulations, the Kingdom welcomes residents of Gulf countries, as well as holders of Schengen, U.S., and U.K. visas, and residents of those countries.
