More than 100 real estate experts will discuss «Transparency of Information in Sukuk Trading» at a seminar organized by the Real Estate Committee of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry next Monday at the Saleh Al-Turki Hall, to which a large number of stakeholders have been invited. The aim is to protect participants in the real estate market, which contributes to driving development, amid the growth of real estate investment portfolios in the Kingdom, which have reached approximately 50 billion riyals, and official estimates confirming that the Kingdom needs more than five million new housing units across all its cities by 2020.
On this occasion, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi, Chairman of the Real Estate Committee at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Real Estate Sector in Jeddah Province, noted that the symposium—which is scheduled to be attended by Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Husayni, President of the General Court in Jeddah, His Eminence Sheikh Ali Musharraf Al-Shahri, President of the Enforcement Court in the province; Sheikh Anas bin Atef Hammad, President of the First Notary Public Office; and representatives from the Jeddah Municipality, will address key issues in the field of real estate title deed transactions, including the protection of traders’ rights in the real estate market and the mechanism for inspecting land to ensure its soundness and freedom from defects.
