At its fourth session yesterday, the Riyadh Regional Council approved housing plans for certain villages that had met the required conditions and criteria. The Council, which held its meeting under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region and Chairman of the Council, discussed the scarcity of housing plans in some provinces, and the meeting recommended the need to expand the urban scope of these provinces in need. The Council also reviewed requests regarding the establishment of certain service facilities in some centers and decided to write to the relevant authorities to work on establishing them in accordance with the required conditions and standards.
In his speech, the Governor of the Riyadh Region thanked the people of Riyadh for their contributions and participation in the ceremony honoring the leader of the nation, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud—may God protect him. His Highness also thanked the Council members for their efforts in submitting useful proposals and studies and for identifying the needs of citizens, noting that they are the pillars on which the Council relies to raise the level of services provided in the region.
