Weekly real estate market performance indicators showed a 54.6% decline in the total value of transactions. The weekly decline was concentrated in the market’s two main sectors—residential and commercial—while the agricultural and industrial sectors saw an increase in total value.
The value of residential sector transactions recorded a record weekly decline of 41.1%, settling at the end of last week at 1.6 billion riyals—“53.8 percent of the total value of weekly real estate market transactions.”
The value of commercial sector transactions also fell during the same week by a record 70.3%, settling at the end of last week below the 1 billion riyal mark—“35.6% of the total weekly transaction value of the real estate market.”
In contrast, the total value of transactions in the agricultural and industrial sectors recorded a weekly increase of 17.8%, settling at just under 321 million riyals—representing 10.6% of the total weekly transaction value in the real estate market..
