Several government agencies, in coordination with the private sector, are making the necessary preparations to establish a Landlords" Union Authority under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Housing, to be named either the Landlords" Union Authority or the Building Maintenance Authority, or as agreed upon during the meeting scheduled to be held after the upcoming month of Ramadan in Jeddah, provided that this is in exchange for the dissolution or suspension of the Owners" Union Association, or its retention to perform a logistical role.

Work is currently underway in coordination with the relevant authorities to hold a meeting or workshop at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry through the Chamber’s Real Estate Committee, which is fully dedicated to this matter, in the presence of senior officials from the relevant ministries to reach common ground.

It is worth noting that the Authority’s mechanism, as currently planned; will be an attractive factor for those seeking housing to purchase apartments, as it will resolve many of the problems and obstacles between building investors and those who purchase the apartments.
