Reported by Jeddah Provincial Secretariat 3,305 building violations in a number of neighborhoods during the month of December, as part of its efforts to improve services, address visual pollution, and enhance the city’s urban landscape.

The Secretariat stated that violations that were detected ranged from failure to remove construction or renovation debris and failure to post signs at construction sites displaying permit information, as well as failure to fence or plant trees around properties in areas designated by the municipality in accordance with municipal specifications and instructions, dumping construction debris on private property or in public places, and failure to maintain a clean worksite during and after completion of work.

The Jeddah Municipality that the monitoring efforts carried out by the sub-municipalities over the past month are part of an intensive support plan to improve the urban landscape and detect building violations of all kinds, noting that the field operations resulted in 2,084 non-compliant sites being notified to rectify their status in accordance with the regulations.
