The Ministry of Housing is implementing its plan to hold apartment exhibitions in large cities where it sees the need for the housing support program, after the Jeddah exhibition, the ministry launched Last Thursday, June 10, the exhibition of marketing housing products within the framework of the second phase of the public-private partnership program. The exhibition will last 40 days and will allow beneficiaries of housing loans to choose their housing units from among the companies implementing the projects, which will be held on an area of more than two million square meters and contain about 4536 units, consisting of residential apartments distributed in three projects «Dammam North Housing Development Project, Dammam South Housing Development Project and Qatif Housing Development Project.»
8 companies for Dammam projects
As part of the Ministry's endeavor to achieve the strategy of partnership with the private sector and expand the circle of participation in providing various residential products with high quality standards and within a specified period of time, the Ministry has identified 9 companies to provide their services in the proposed projects, as follows: Two companies to develop the southern Dammam project: Al-Hakimiya Real Estate Development for 888 apartments, and Imdaad Najd Contracting for 2000 apartments. And 6 companies developing the North Dammam project: Tamkeen for Real Estate Investment and Development with 200 apartments, Ali Bin Sultan & Brothers Holding Group with 396 apartments, Al-Qudaibi «Shazan» with 184 apartments, Eastern Mada for Real Estate Development with 144 apartments, Al-Rayam Contracting Company with 230 apartments, and Al-Dar Gate with 120 apartments. The ministry also identified only one company for its project in Qatif, namely Al-Rayam Contracting for 160 apartments.
Mechanism of obtaining a residential apartment
After the Ministry of Housing has finalized the options for beneficiaries of the Ministry's products in the Eastern Province, it has set a specific mechanism for obtaining a residential apartment, which is summarized in seven steps:

1-Sending text messages to registered housing beneficiaries (to specify preferences for either an apartment or an independent housing unit).

2-Housing beneficiaries log in to the Housing Support Portal through the Ministry's website (to confirm their choice)...

3- The Ministry will send text messages to all those who have chosen (a residential apartment) to visit the special exhibition (at Dhahran International Exhibitions).

4- The housing beneficiary will visit the exhibition and see the options available from 8 companies.

5-Housing recipient selects the appropriate option from those companies.

6- The housing beneficiary hands over a voucher provided by the Ministry to the company that owns the housing unit he/she has chosen.
7- The company hands the housing beneficiary a receipt and a formal contract is signed.
