<The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has allocated two sand and gravel sites for mining activities in the Asir region: 32.18 square kilometers of sand and gravel ore complex in Wadi Al-Thafen in Thulith Governorate, and 00.91 square kilometers of sand and gravel ore complex in Wadi Taya in Muhayil Governorate.

Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources spokesperson Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah said. He added that the Ministry seeks to govern the mining sector, enhance its transparency, increase investors' confidence in it, in addition to achieving the elements of sustainability of the sector through the attention it has paid to preserving the environment, occupational health and safety, and motivating local communities to participate in the growth paths of the mining sector in accordance with the Mining Investment Law.
