The General Real Estate Authority has renewed its warnings against dealing with unlicensed people who claim to be brokers, real estate offices or property owners to avoid falling into scams when completing real estate rental operations and transferring financial amounts to unknown individuals.

Al-Mufaraj explained the possibility of being guided by the logic of the price offered for rent by visiting the rental index in “Ejar”; to ensure that the offered price is in line with the price range and average prices of the real estate unit according to the specifications of the unit and its location, and that the transfer of the financial payment is through the electronic payment channel provided by the electronic network for rental services after documenting the electronic contract; and caution against the financial transfer to bank accounts directly to prevent falling into cases of manipulation.

He stressed the importance of the real estate broker to take care of his account with “Ejar” and not to enable external parties to use the account as the real estate broker bears full responsibility for any real estate transactions carried out through his account in “Ejar”, calling on licensed real estate marketers and brokers to license their real estate ads before publishing them on real estate marketing platforms and not allowing manipulators to exploit their ads to display and market them.
