The National Program to Combat Commercial Concealment has set penalties for violators of up to five years in prison, a fine of up to five million riyals, seizure and confiscation of illegal funds after final court rulings are issued against those involved, in addition to the ancillary penalties prescribed by law, namely: Closure of the establishment, liquidation of the activity, removal of the commercial register, prohibition from practicing the commercial activity, collection of zakat, fees and taxes, and defamation, as well as the penalty of concealment commercial included the removal of those covered from the Kingdom and not allowing them to return there to work.

During May 2023, the program carried out more than 11.30 thousand inspection visits to verify the compliance of commercial establishments with the approved market rules and control crimes and violations of the anti-cover-up system in various regions of the Kingdom, where the tours included 9089 directed inspection visits, 2027 scheduled visits to specific sectors, and 231 visits based on reports of suspicion of cover-up.
