The Housing Support Program offers support from the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing where it helps citizens at the level of providing new housing units at new prices, renovating existing properties to live in them or even refurnishing their housing units with new furniture, and other housing support options.
It also aims to provide decent human housing for citizens, and its value reaches 100 thousand Saudi riyals non-refundable, and it also aims to achieve social stability and provide suitable and appropriate homes for all citizens.
6 articles of the executive regulations of the housing subsidy organization reveal the mechanisms and procedures for obtaining the subsidy, some of which we review in the following lines:
Article Twenty:
A. Without prejudice to the provisions of (Article 22) of the Regulations, the applicant shall specify in the application for housing support the type of housing support he wishes to obtain, and his choices may be multiple, provided that they are arranged in order of his desire to obtain them. The type of housing support provided to the applicant shall be determined based on the housing needs of the applicant and his family members, and their ability to pay the financial installment of the housing support.

The applicant must choose housing support in the region, city or province in which he resides or wishes to reside, and if the applicant's place of residence changes after the date of submitting the housing support application, he must update his data in accordance with his new place of residence. Article XXI:
The applicant's choices that include a housing unit or residential land shall be disqualified if the applicant is not eligible for it as determined by the Ministry.

The applicant's choice is not binding on the Ministry even if the applicant is eligible for it, and the Ministry seeks to realize the applicant's priority options if they are available.
Article Twenty-Three:
<If the applicant resides in a city or governorate where residential units and residential lands of different sizes are located, the Ministry may determine the size of the residential unit or land that is allocated to the applicant in accordance with the provisions of the organization and this regulation. The Ministry determines the financial installment of the housing support based on the relevant criteria.
Article Twenty-Four:
<The applicant is eligible to receive housing support if he meets the conditions mentioned in the regulation and this regulation from the date of submitting the housing support application until its allocation, and if the applicant's condition changes after the application date so that the application no longer meets any of those conditions, the housing support application procedures will be suspended. The applicant may reactivate the application procedures after the conditions are met again.
Article 25:
<The amount of the housing loan or financing provided or subsidized by the Ministry shall be determined based on the cost of the dwelling that the applicant wishes to purchase or build with the amount of the loan or financing, taking into account that the amount of the housing loan or financing shall not exceed the ability of the applicant - or the applicant and his family members included in the application - to repay it as determined by the Ministry. The Ministry determines the cost of the dwelling that the applicant wishes to purchase or build with the amount of the loan or financing according to its discretion based on the relevant criteria, including the location, area and specifications of the dwelling.
