Gulf investments in the real estate sector in Al-Ahsa Governorate over the past two years totaled 2 billion riyals, with the largest share going to our sister country, Qatar.
Engineer Khalid bin Saud Al-Saleh, Vice President of the Al-Ahsa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Real Estate Committee, noted that Al-Ahsa’s strategic location—as a crossroads connecting the Kingdom’s regions and the Gulf states—offers investors excellent financial returns, Al-Saleh noted that Al-Ahsa is now experiencing a boom, at a time when other regions have slowed down. Al-Ahsa has begun to build on a number of strengths, including an increase in oil and gas production; it is considered the Kingdom’s oil and gas region, It also serves as the link between the Gulf states geographically, economically, and socially, and its population is growing. Furthermore, Al-Ahsa Governorate has begun to benefit from the economic and developmental boom that has swept across all cities in the Kingdom. In addition to its extensive infrastructure, we now have numerous projects, and these projects require real estate investment. It has been noted recently that Al-Ahsa is becoming a tourist attraction, which is increasing the volume of real estate investment.
