The Eastern Province Municipality has handed over 23 million square meters to the Ministry of Housing during the past five years. His Excellency the Secretary of the Eastern Province, Engineer Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Jubeir, revealed during his participation in the Board of Directors of “Aqal”, which was held recently at Al-Ghoroub Beach in Al-Khobar, in the presence of a number of undersecretaries and heads of municipalities and departments, that the Municipality has allocated 211 plots of land in plan (832) for young businessmen and women, ranging in size between 800 and 1000 square meters, considering it a real opportunity for young men and women businessmen.

Al-Jubeir Al-Jubeir pointed out that the Eastern Province Municipality was selected to implement the investment strategy through the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs' distribution of strategies to all municipalities in the Kingdom, indicating that the Municipality intends to transform the concept of investment strategy from a collection system to a different concept, including projects of an important nature to serve the community qualitatively.

Al-Jubeir praised the Municipality's investment strategy, saying that it is an opportunity for young men and women. He praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef, Governor of the region, in creating opportunities for young businessmen and women, noting that coordination has been made with the Eastern Chamber to set accurate criteria for young people in investment, to avoid repeating what happened in some industrial sites and cities.

He added that the Municipality will grant the investment strategy concept a different concept, which includes important projects that serve the community qualitatively. He added that the Municipality gives the investor 6 months in the first period to ensure his seriousness, pointing out that during the past period, some investment sites were monopolized and were not exploited, resulting in depriving serious businessmen and youth from investment opportunities in them, as the Municipality is still at the beginning of the investment path, and during the coming period a temporary contract will be signed for a year with investors, after which long-term contracts will be signed.

The Municipality is still at the beginning of the investment path.
