Data released by the Ministry of Justice revealed that the number of commercial and residential properties whose details and contents were amended through notaries public was approximately 44,500 real estate deed during the past Hijri year, an increase of approximately 20 percent compared to the same period last year.
Notary offices in the Riyadh the number of deed amendments by 32.7%, with 14,526 real estate deeds, followed by Makkah with 9,900 deeds, and then the Eastern Province with 7,249 amended real estate deeds.
The number of amended deeds in the Asir Region is estimated at 2,943, in the Qassim Region at 2,889 real estate deeds, and in the Ha'il Region at 1,276 real estate deeds, followed by Madinah with 1,216 deeds, followed by Al-Baha with 985 deeds, then Tabuk with 879 deeds, and the Jazan Region with 755 real estate deeds.
Meanwhile, the number of amended deeds in the Najran region stood at 721, followed by Al-Jawf with 649. The Northern Border region, however, recorded the lowest number of amended real estate deeds, at approximately 489.
