The Ministry of Housing is preparing to welcome the new minister, His Excellency Mr. Majid Al-Hogail, tomorrow. He recently took the oath of office before the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as Minister of Housing, His Excellency will receive congratulations on receiving the royal vote of confidence as well as on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. Tomorrow, Wednesday, will be a special day for Ministry staff as they welcome the new minister, introduce themselves to him, and learn about the broad outlines of His Excellency Minister Al-Hogail’s programs and strategies.
The new Minister of Housing faces a hot summer fueled by a host of thorny and complex issues, foremost among which are the waiting lists for those eligible for housing assistance, partnerships with the private sector, Real Estate Fund initiatives, the issue of undeveloped land, and other matters.
