Real estate prices have fallen in Britain last September, marking the sixth consecutive month of decline, although there are signs that the country’s real estate market crisis is beginning to ease.

Halifax Mortgage reported that average home prices in Britain fell by 0.4% last September compared to the previous month, reaching 278,601 pounds sterling ($339,150), adding in a statement reported by Bloomberg News that the annual decline in real estate prices reached 7.4%.

Halifax noted that the decline recorded in September was significantly lower than the 1.8% decline recorded in August.

For its part, the National Building Association in Britain stated in its report that home prices remained stable last month. Both parties believe that the recent decline in mortgage rates gives reason to believe that the real estate market is heading toward greater stability.
