In details, SPPDC intends to supply 190 thousand residential units with clean electricity within the Hanakia solar PV project, with a total capacity of 1100 MW, and 75 thousand residential units for the Tabarjal solar PV project, with a total capacity of 400 MW.

These projects come to reach the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. These projects come to reach the optimal energy mix for electricity production and displace liquid fuels in the electricity production sector by utilizing renewable energy sources and the vast areas for the development of its projects enjoyed by the Kingdom, and developing highly efficient gas-fired power plants, so that the share of renewable energy sources in this mix will be about 50% by 2030.
