An agreement was signed by the Saudi Contractors Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding today, in the presence of His Excellency Abdulhadi bin Ahmed Al-Mansouri, Assistant Minister for Executive Affairs.
The Saudi Contractors Authority was represented at the signing by Secretary-General Abdulmajeed bin Mohammed Al-Rashoudi, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was represented by Director General of Construction Projects Ahmed bin Khalil Al-Maslamani.
The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between the Saudi Contractors Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provide the Authority’s services to the Ministry, qualify Saudi contractors and provide them with support to serve all Saudi embassies and consulates worldwide, as well as publicizing and informing contractors about the Ministry’s projects on the projects platform, working to promote Saudi contractors abroad, sharing studies and statistics related to the construction sector, and collaborating on events and conferences.
The signing of the memorandum reflects the Saudi Contractors Authority’s commitment to strengthening cooperation to achieve sustainable development in the construction sector. It will contribute to enhancing capabilities and competencies in the field of construction and provide new opportunities for Saudi contractors to participate in projects both within and outside the Kingdom.
The signing of the MoU was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Engineer Zakaria bin Abdulrahman Al-Abdulqadir; Board Member Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan; and the Deputy Minister for Projects, Engineer Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Rumaih.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Contractors Authority aims to regulate and develop the construction industry, build distinctive productive capabilities, encourage innovation, and strengthen communication among stakeholders in the sector, It also works to create a safe environment that serves project owners, industry leaders, contractors, and other stakeholders.
