Dr. Shaher Al-Sahli, Director General of the Ministry of Housing’s Eastern Province branch, confirmed that the ministry sent 4,536 messages to eligible applicants registered on the ministry’s website who had selected «apartment» as their housing option, 1,800 eligible applicants with whom contracts have already been signed will be processed, and 2,736 will be sent new notifications so they can visit the exhibition during its second phase, which is scheduled to begin next Wednesday at the Ministry of Housing’s Eastern Province branch building, The exhibition will be open to eligible recipients from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Companies participating in the exhibition have executed 1,800 contracts worth 900 million riyals, and have resolved 100 of the 650 objections filed by housing subsidy beneficiaries to complete the procedures for executing their contracts, after initially refusing to implement the contracts they had signed with real estate development companies. The Ministry is working to resolve the remaining 550 objections over the next two weeks, emphasizing that the matter is being addressed following several meetings held to resolve it as soon as possible and without delay.

The Ministry confirmed that the eight companies are continuing with the second marketing phase, and no company has been excluded following the conclusion of the initial marketing phase at the Eastern Province Housing Exhibition. These companies are developing the Northern Dammam Housing Development Project, the Southern Dammam Housing Development Project, and the Qatif Housing Development Project.
